After the Calgary Flames handled the Vancouver Canucks in the first round of the NHL playoffs, defenceman and Chatham native TJ Brodie is looking ahead to facing the Anaheim Ducks.
Brodie says the team has mixed up practice along with some downtime. "We've had meetings and skated. At the same time, we tried to get our rest and give guys time to recover.
The 24-year-old adds his squad can't get caught up in trying to match Anaheim's physicality. "We have to come out to play like we did at home: get pucks in deep and make them play a 200 ft. game."
The Ducks and Flames square off for Game 1 of the Conference Semifinals Thursday at 10pm ET.
