Oakland A's Draft Local Athlete

A local baseball player has been chosen by Oakland Athletics in Day 3 of the MLB Draft.

Brett Siddall graduated from Holy Names High School and was selected in the 13th round, 398th overall.

Siddall is currently a junior at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York playing as a first base/outfielder for the Golden Griffins since 2013.

The 20-year-old has a batting average of .324 this season with ten home runs and a 41 RBI in 44 games.
