Another Spitfires Assistant To Lead Oshawa

The Oshawa Generals are replacing their outgoing coach, former Windsor assistant DJ Smith, with another Windsor coach.

This time associate coach Bob Jones will make the trip up the 401 to head up the reigning Memorial Cup champions.

Spitfires President and Head Coach Bob Boughner, whose relationship with Jones spans back  to 1988, when both played for the Soo Greyhounds, says it's hard to see his friend moving on.

Jones replaces Smith, who was named an assistant with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Oshawa is owned by Windsor businessman Rocco Tullio.
