Chatham Star Shines In Team Canada Basketball Loss

Chatham's Bridget Carleton was a bright spot for Canada's U19 National Team, after a tough 94-40 loss to Team USA in exhibition play.

The former John McGregor Panther scored 10 points and added a pair of offensive boards in just under 26 minutes of play. Nova Scotia's Daneesha Provo led all Canadian scorers with 13.

But It wasn't nearly enough against the US, who went 39 for 65 (60%) from the field. Team USA's Napheesa Collier had a game high 19 points.

Canada will look to regroup for their final exhibition against Australia tomorrow, before the U19 Women's World Championships.
