The Head Coach and General Manager of the Wallaceburg Thrashers Sr. B lacrosse team is reflecting on the team's inaugural season.
Gord Lilley says they had some growing pains.
"The guys deserved a better record than what they had," says Lilley. "They played a lot of really close games, you know, we lost games by one goal and two goals. That just comes from, these guys have now played for like five or six years."
Lilley thinks the future of the team looks bright.
"We've has phone calls from players that were kind of sitting on the sidelines. They thought maybe they were too old to play, and they're willing to get in shape and give it a go next year," says Lilley, "And, we've had phone calls from guys that are currently playing that would like to come and give Wallaceburg a shot."
The Thrashers went 2-and-14. The Sarnia Beavers relocated to Wallaceburg last winter, becoming the Thrashers.
