LaSalle has defeated the London Nationals 5-1 in the Vipers' GOJHL home opener.
On Wednesday, the Vipers were up 1-0 at the end of the first period and scored two more in the second for a 3-0 lead. LaSalle scored twice more before the end of the game and kept the Nationals off the board until the last minute of the third period.
Blake Jones, Michael Ruttinge, Connor Rosaasen, Manny Silverio and Jarrett Tazzman each scored once for LaSalle.
The Vipers will hit the ice again on Friday to take on the St. Marys Lincolns at 7:30pm.
