The only Great Lakes Junior C game Monday night saw the Wheatley Sharks narrowly edge the Dresden Jr. Kings 2-1.
Offence came sparingly throughout the game, with Wheatley scoring both their goals in the second frame. Jack Leafeve adding to his lofty point total with a goal, to make it 5 on the year. Brady Hillock had the other Sharks goal.
The Kings were able to answer halfway through the third period with a goal from Kyle Dawson. In the end they were unable to mount the comeback.
Wheatley will now take a week-long break before facing Amherstburg next Monday. Dresden plays again this Friday against Essex.
