Lahey Immortalizes High School Sports

A local sports legend's new book is already seeing sales success.

Former high school and basketball coach Larry Lahey's "History of Kent County High School Sports" covers 80 years of 14 different sports. It's been on sale since late August.

"I think it's a good reference book. Somebody says 'oh I was an all-star back in 1977,' and then you have your book and can say 'well your name isn't mentioned here.' So you can have some fun with some people."

Lahey says the book is on its third publication. The book can be purchased at Lenover's Quality Meats in Chatham, as well as the Instant Print Shops in Chatham and Wallaceburg.
