Sharks & Lakers Face Off

The Wheatley Sharks and Wallaceburg Lakers face off tonight for the first time this season.

The Sharks are riding a two game winning streak.

"We're pretty happy with the way things have gone the last couple of games," says head coach Ken Galerno. "We had our first road win initially , and then to come back home where we've been playing pretty good. We just want to keep it going on the road again."

The Lakers are still looking for their first win of the season, but Galerno says you can't count Wallaceburg out.

"They use their ice surface as well as anybody , they actually make plays off the wall and behind the net that are very, very difficult to compete against. So if they're on their game and they're running some plays, they're very effective down low, they have a small rink and they'll shoot from anywhere."

Puck drop is set for 7:30pm in Wallaceburg.
