Pain Court Plays For SWOSSAA Title

On Tuesday the Pain Court Patriotes will look to punch their ticket to OFSAA when they take on Windsor's E.J. Lajeunesse in the senior basketball final.

This after their 44-28 victory over LKCS on Thursday, crowning them LKSSAA A senior girls basketball champions.

Head Coach Mike Schenkelshoek says the key Tuesday will be playing within their own game.

"[Lajeunesse] is big, they're athletic. They play a lot of basketball throughout the year. It will be tough but we seem to rise to that, and hopefully we will Tuesday."

Their top priority will be their defense. Schenkelshoek explains, like in their LKSSAA championship win, sometimes they need their defense to spark their team at the other end.

"They were a team that could shoot, and we were able to defend that very well."

Pain-Court takes on Lajeunesse at home. Gametime is set for 5:30pm.
