Junior Hockey Wrap-Up – January 8, 2015

The Dresden Kings fell 6-2 to the Alvinston Flyers in Great Lakes Junior C hockey on Friday.

Kyle Dawson scored both goals for the Kings and despite the loss, Dresden out shot Alvinston 44-43.

Also, the Essex 73's tied the Lakeshore Canadiens 3-3 after no scoring in overtime.

Tyler Boughner, Phil Janikowski and Luke Gecse scored one goal each for Essex. Zack Bedard, Michael Long and Hunter Corp all scored a goal for Lakeshore.

In Junior A hockey, the Kingsville Kings beat the London Lakers 6-2.

Ivan Hodulov, Blake Naida, Lukas Havelka, Ludwig Niederbach, Dan Leach and Matt Matyi scored one goal for Kingsville.

The Toronto Blue Jays lost 7-6 in 10 innings to Tampa Bay. The Kitchener Rangers are OHL champions.
