Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – January 15, 2016

The Blenheim Blades edged the Dresden Kings 2-1 in Junior C hockey on Friday.  Brendan Ritchie scored both goals for the Blades, while Carter Smith scored one for Dresden.

The Essex 73's hammered the Alvinston Flyers 10-2.  Griffin McCarty led Essex with four goals, and Max Viselli scored two.

As well, the Lakeshore Canadiens earned a 4-3 overtime victory over the Mooretown Flags.  Hunter Corp, Colin Sartor, Zack Bedard and Michael Long all scored one goal for Lakeshore.

In GOJHL action, the LaSalle Vipers crushed the St. Marys Lincolns 11-2.  Brett Primeau and Nolan Gardiner were top scorers for the Vipers with two goals each.

The Leamington Flyers shutout the St. Thomas Stars 4-0. Cale Phibbs scored twice for Leamington, while Mark Gangnon and Scott Emerson both scored one.

And in Junior A hockey, the Kingsville Kings beat the Komoka Dragons 5-2.
