The Detroit Tigers have added another bat to their rotation, signing OF Justin Upton to a six-year contract.
Buzz around the trade started around 9:30pm Monday, when Fox MLB insider Ken Rosenthal sent out this tweet.

Upton has spent his entire nine-year MLB career in the National League, in stints with Arizona, Atlanta and most recently the San Diego Padres.Justin 6 year deal with #Tigers is for $132.75M. AAV is $22.125 per year.

Upton has over 600 RBI's to his name, with a career OPS of .825. Last season he hit 26 home runs and 81 RBI's, with a slugging % of .454.
