Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – January 22, 2016

The Lakeshore Canadiens doubled the Wallaceburg Lakers 6-3 in Great Lakes Junior C hockey on Friday.

Brandon Ireland, Michael Ruttinger, Mejoe Gasparovic, Brenden Crundwell, Steven Sartor and Sebastian Kanally all scored once for Lakeshore.  Jackson Gray, Kadin Ritchie and Trevor Waller scored the three goals for Wallceburg.

As well, the Dresden Kings downed the Mooretown Flags 7-4.

Dillon Liberty and Kevin Ritzer led the Kings with two goals each.

And the Wheatley Sharks edged the Alvinston Flyers 6-5. in overtime.

Jack Leafeve and Nick Tavolieri-Essex were the top scorers for the Sharks, scoring two goals each. Tavolieri-Essex scored the game winner in OT.

In Junior A hockey, the Kingsville Kings won 7-3 over the Niagara Whalers.
