The Windsor Spitfires beat Hamilton 6-2 on Sunday for their second straight win over the Bulldogs in two nights.
Hamilton scored a 1-0 advantage early in the first period, but Windsor scored two of their own to take the lead going into the second. The Bulldogs scored again to tie things up, but the Spits were quick to answer with four unanswered goals in the final two frames for the win.
The back-to-back wins for the Spits this weekend came after a rough five-game losing skid.
"It's been been a while, but I think we're finally turning the corner here," says Christian Fischer, who led Windsor with two goals during the game on Sunday. "[We're] putting that losing stretch behind us and going on a good winning streak before the playoffs.
The Spits will take on the Barrie Colts next on Thursday at 7:05pm.
