Spitfires Double Battalion 4-2

The Windsor Spitfires downed the North Bay Battalion 4-2 in OHL action on Saturday.

The Spitfires took a 1-0 advantage in the first period and continued to lead 2-1 at the end of the second. Windsor scored another two goals in the third over one from the Battalion to earn the win.

Spitfires right winger Christian Fischer scored twice and says it was good to bounce back following a loss to the Sarnia Sting the night before.

"It's obviously a blow to lose that but we just got to put it behind us, and that's what we did today," he says. "It's a tight race going into the last six games here, so we obviously need all the points we can get."

The Spitfires take on the Kingston Frontenacs next on Sunday at 2:05pm.
