Essex and Amherstburg square off in Game 5 of the Great Lakes Jr. C finals tonight.
The series is knotted at two games a piece after the 73's beat the Admirals 2-1 on the road, Sunday.
The two teams found themselves in the same position during last year's final, only it was Amherstburg who beat Essex 2-1 in Game 4 to tie the series. The 73's went on to win the next two games 7-2 at home, and 6-3 in Amherstburg.
But Admirals Head Coach Paul Bortignon believes it's going to be different this time around.
"We know the feeling of winning in Essex [after a 3-2 win in Game 3]." He says, "We know what it takes to win in Essex, whereas last year we had two home wins [at this point in the series]."
Bortignon says the 73's have been tied after four games in the league's final the last two years, and have won each series in six games, so he's expecting their best shot tonight.
