Corcoran Selected For World U-17

Windsor Spitfires rookie defenceman Connor Corcoran will represent Canada at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge later this month.

The 16-year-old, taken 21st overall by the Spitfires in this year's OHL draft, will be one of 66 players which make up three Canadian teams at the tournament.

"He's a mature kid with a great skill set and a bright future," says Windsor GM Warren Rychel. "This will be great experience for him."

The tournament runs from October 27 to November 5 at the Essar Centre in Sault Ste. Marie.

Update on October 18, 2016: Spitfires Head Coach Rocky Thompson will coach Team Canada Red.  Corcoran will be featured on Team Canada Black.
