Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – October 12, 2016

In GOJHL action on Wednesday, the LaSalle Vipers beat the Leamington Flyers 2-1 in double overtime.

Daniel Beaudoin scored for LaSalle in first period and Tyler Russell got the game winner in second OT.

Josh Pope-Ferguson scored Leamington's single goal in the third.

The Flyers will take on the Strathroy Rockets at home on Thursday at 7:10pm. And on Saturday, the Vipers take on the Rockets in Strathroy at 7:30pm.

The London Nationals scored a 5-3 victory over the St. Marys Lincolns.

Quinn Lenihan led London with two goals, while Austin Kemp, Brenden Trottier and Colin Wilson each had one.

The Nationals return to the ice on Saturday to take on the Lambton Shores Predators at 7:30pm.

In the PJHL, the the Dresden Kings downed the Wheatley Sharks 5-3.

Kadin Ritchie led the Kings with two goals, while Kevin Ritzer, Brock Daugherty and Dillon Liberty each had one.

Mitchell Prudence, Cole Butler and Evan Mastronardi all scored once for Wheatley.

The Kings face the Essex 73's in Dresden on Friday at 7:30pm. Then on Monday, the Sharks battle the Essex 73's at home at 7pm.

The Wallaceburg Lakers five game losing streak continued on Wednesday when they fell 5-2 to the Petrolia Flyers.

Brett Farr scored both goals for Wallaceburg.

The Lakers will travel to Blenheim on Sunday to take on the Blades at 7pm.
