Clayton Kershaw retired his first 14 batters and allowed just two hits as the LA Dodgers shut out the Cubs 1-0 in Chiacgo. The NLCS is now tied at a game apiece.

In football action, Matt Prater kicked a 34-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter to give the Detroit Lions a 31-28 win over the Rams.

Elsewhere -- LeSean McCoy rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Buffalo Bills past the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 45-16.

And the Houston Texans erased a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter to tie the game up before beating the Indianapolis Colts 26-23 in overtime.

In other football news, LaSalle's Luke Willson will have an MRI on his right knee after injuring it during Seattle's win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Until the results of those tests come in, it'll be difficult to know how long he'll be out of action.

In the NHL -- The Vancouver Canucks rallied to beat Carolina 4-3 in overtime -- and the Buffalo Sabres pounded the Edmonton Oilers 6-2.

In NASCAR Sprint Cup action -- Kevin Harvick jumped to the front on a late restart and outran Carl Edwards to win at Kansas.
