The Florida Panthers couldn't stop Mitch Marner and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Leafs rookie and former London Knight had three assists to help Toronto to a 3-2 win over Florida. Wallaceburg native Seth Griffith played about nine minutes, but didn't put up any points in his debut with the Leafs.
Elsewhere -- Chatham-Kent native Travis Konecny picked up his sixth assist of the season, but the Philadelphia Flyers lost 5-4 to Arizona. Konecny is currently fourth in rookie scoring with seven points. He trails Leafs rookies Auston Matthews (10pts) and William Nylander (9pts) along with Jets forward Patrick Laine (8pts).
The Detroit Red Wings won their sixth straight, getting by St. Louis 2-1 in a shootout.
The Montreal Canadiens beat Tampa Bay 3-1 for their sixth straight victory -- and the Winnipeg Jets defeated Dallas 4-1.
