Former Maple Leafs winger Viktor Stalberg came back to haunt his old team last night.

He scored the game-winner for Carolina as the Hurricanes edged the Toronto Maple Leafs 2-1.

In other NHL action -- Chatham-Kent native Travis Konecny picked up his 8th assist of the season as the Philadelphia Flyers beat Florida 3-1 -- the Montreal Canadiens suffered their first regulation home loss, falling 4-3 to the Ottawa Senators.

Meanwhile -- the NHL's new expansion team in Las Vegas finally has a name. They'll be called the Golden Knights. The team logo is a knight's helmet with a "V" in the middle. Their colours are steel grey, gold, red and black.

In MLS action -- the Montreal Impact held on for a 3-2 victory over Toronto F-C in a wild opening game to their Eastern Conference final.

And, the Detroit Pistons have officially announced their move from Auburn Hills to downtown Detroit starting next season. The team will play in the new Little Caesars Arena, which will also be home to the Red Wings.
