The Blenheim Blades are celebrating a win after beating the Dresden Kings in their second game of the playoffs.
Owen Bateman lead the Blades to a 5-2 victory during Monday night's game.
It was back and forth in the second period with both teams scoring two goals each, including Bateman's second goal of the night.
Blenheim scored another two goals in the final period with Bateman completing a hat trick with the last goal of the game.
Assistant Coach for the Blades Evan Merritt says he's happy the team was able to come back, after having lost the first game of the playoffs.
"The boys played with a lot of heart," says Merritt. "They snapped back after kind of a lack luster game that we had there in the opener."
The series is now tied 1-1, and the Blades are looking to keep the momentum going.
"We're hoping to follow it up with an effort that's as solid as it was [Monday]," he says. "I think the boys have found their groove and we're going to go forward with the same kind of game plan."
The Blenheim Blades are at home Thursday night to take on the Dresden Kings. Puck drop is set for 7pm.
