Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – March 7, 2017

The LaSalle Vipers downed Strathroy 5-2 on Tuesday to sweep the Rockets in four games.

Maddux Rychel, Daniel Beaudoin, Nathan Savage, Brett Primeau and Zack Hoffman each scored a goal for the Vipers.

LaSalle will now move on to the playoff semi-finals. The schedule has yet to be announced.

The London Nationals hammered the St. Marys Lincolns 7-1 in Game 4 to take a 3-1 playoff series lead.

Max Vinogradov scored twice for London, while Richard Whittaker. Austin Kemp, Kyle Dawson, Ethan Nother and Brandon Glover all scored once.

The Nationals and the Lincolns are back on the ice on Wednesday for Game 5. The puck drops at 7:30pm in London.

The Sarnia Legionnaires staved off elimination in Game 4 by beating the Leamington Flyers 4-3 in overtime.

Zach Guilbeault, Scott Florence and Griffin Robinson all scored once for Leamington.

The two teams will face off for Game 5 on Thursday at 7:10pm.

And in the PJHL playoffs, the Essex 73's scored 5-2 victory over the Lakeshore Canadiens in Game 1.

William Stadder led the 73's with two goals, while Tyler Boughner, Riley Meyerink and Dalton Langlois all scored once.

JJ Percy and Kyler Carter scored the two goals for Lakeshore.

The two teams face off in Game 2 on Friday at 7pm in Essex.
