Mark Austin Final At Dresden Raceway
PULL THE SHADE and Garrett Rooney finished a day of racing in Dresden with three straight wins en route to taking top spot at the Mark Austin Pacing series.
The horse, owned by Sherri Abbott of Windsor, took the lead at three quarters of the way around the track in the final and never fell behind again from there.
The series is in honour of former trainer Mark Austin who passed away suddenly in 2014.
His widow Julie was on hand along with daughters Paige and Paula to give an engraved stop watch to winning driver Rooney and a bag of carrots to PULL THE SHADE.
