After three scoreless periods, Dede Cato scored 37 seconds in OT to earn the win for Blenheim.
Goaltender Eric Stewardson made 47 saves for the Blades, while Dylan Zelko stopped 43 shots on net out of 44 for the Sharks.
The Blades will head to Amherstburg on Saturday to take on the Admirals at 7pm. Also on Saturday, the Sharks are in Mooretown to battle the Flags at 7:30pm.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
