Griffith Makes Sabres Opening Day Roster
Wallaceburg's Seth Griffith could be lining up with some top-level NHL talent when he takes the ice with the Buffalo Sabres Thursday night.
Griffith played alongside Jack Eichel and Evander Kane to close out Buffalo's final preseason game against the New York Islanders Friday night -- he also practiced on a line with Eichel and Kane on Sunday.
The 24-year-old signed a one-year deal with Buffalo on July 1, 2017 after spending the last three seasons bouncing back and forth between the NHL and the AHL with Boston, Toronto, and Florida.
The Sabres will open their season against the Montreal Canadiens at 7pm Thursday.

Brodie Makes Season Debut Wednesday
Chatham's TJ Brodie is expected to start the season Wednesday night on Calgary's second defensive unit paired up with Travis Hamonic.
The Flames open their regular season with the Battle of Alberta, facing off against Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers at 10pm.
Brodie put up 36 points in 82 games last season for the Flames.

Pataki Puts Up First Point In QMJHL
Wallaceburg's Brady Pataki put up his first point with the Moncton Wildcats Tuesday night.
Pataki assisted on a goal by Jacob Hudson in the second period of a 7-2 win over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
Pataki now has one point in five games with Moncton after signing with the team in the off-season.
He split the last three seasons between the Sudbury Wolves and London Knights in the OHL before closing out last season with the St. Thomas Stars in the GOJHL.
