The Blenheim Blades made a deal with the Wallaceburg Lakers on Thursday and added veteran forward Josh Oberg to their lineup.
Bill Saunders, Director of Player Personnel, says the 20-year-old is 5-foot-11, weighs 195 pounds and will add some size and experience to the forward lines.
Oberg was in his second season with the Lakers. In 19 games with Wallaceburg this year, Oberg scored two goals and set up six others for eight points.
Oberg will likely be in the lineup Sunday when the Blades host Wheatley at 7pm. Sunday is also the team’s annual “Skate With The Blades Night” with fans urged to take to the ice immediately following the game to join the Blades players for a skate.
