Brantley Kuipers, Darien Davis and Derek Shaw all scored once for Dresden.
Justin Pinsonneault and Cole Butler scored the two goals for Wheatley.
The two teams face off for Game 2 on Wednesday in Wheatley. The puck drops at 7:30pm.
