The Junior Varsity Chatham-Kent Cougars' run at an Ontario Championship title came up just short over the weekend.
The team took an early 7-3 lead, but ended up losing 13-7 to the Scarborough Thunder in a very close OFC Ontario Finals on Saturday.
Ethan Jordan caught the Cougars' only touchdown of the game, hauling in a pass from QB Evan Torres.
Ethan Ciupka led the team in rushing, carrying the ball 16 times for 126 yards and Darion Bacik was a standout on defence, racking up 12 tackles and 1 interception.
