Jr. hockey wrap-up – December 19, 2018

The London Nationals edged the Leamington Flyers 3-2 in double overtime on Wednesday.

James Turner scored the game-winner in the second OT period, while Kyle Dawson and Austin Jeffers both scored once during regular play.

Josh King and Liam Hall scored the two goals for Leamington.

The Flyers return home on Thursday to take on the St. Marys Lincolns at 7:10 p.m. And then on January 2, the Nationals face off against the Chatham Maroons in London at 7 p.m.

As well, the LaSalle Vipers doubled the Komoka Kings 6-3.

Zane Dalpe led LaSalle with two goals, while AJ Ryan, Cody Schneider, Dylan Robinson and Brett Vorshuk all scored one.

The Vipers head to Sarnia on Thursday to battle the Legionnaires at 7:10 p.m.

And in Junior C hockey, the Wheatley Sharks fell 5-2 to the Petrolia Flyers.

Parker Boyle and Mitch Lantin both scored a goal for Wheatley.

The Sharks will look to bounce back on Saturday when they take on the Wallaceburg Lakers. The puck drops at 7 p.m. in Wheatley.

The Blenheim Blades topped the Wallaceburg Lakers 5-1.

David Cooke, Cameron Symons, Drew Marlatt, Dede Cato and Connor Wright all score a goal for Blenheim.

Joe Betterley scored Wallaceburg's only goal.

The Lakers are in Wheatley on Saturday to take on the Sharks at 7 p.m. And then on Sunday, the Blades return home to play the Dresden Kings at 7 p.m.
