Jr. hockey wrap-up – January 25, 2019

The LaSalle Vipers fell 4-3 to the St. Mary's Lincolns in overtime on Friday.

Jack Bowler, Spencer Paradis and Aaron Shaw scored the three goals for LaSalle.

The Vipers return home on Sunday to take on the London Nationals at 2:30 p.m.

The Leamington Flyers edged the St. Thomas Stars 4-3.

Adam Jeffery led Leamington with two goals, while Dylan Weston and Ryan Gagnier both scored once.

The Flyers are in Chatham on Sunday to battle the Maroons at 7 p.m.

And in Junior C hockey, the Dresden Kings trounced the Wallaceburg Lakers 7-1.

Greg Hay was the top scorer for Dresden with a hat-trick, while Brendan Ritchie scored twice. Cory Lucier and Darien Davis both scored once.

Myles Fraser scored the single goal for Wallaceburg.

The Kings are at home again on Monday to face off against the Wheatley Sharks at 8 p.m. And then on Wednesday, the Lakers are back in Wallaceburg to play the Lakeshore Canadiens at 7:30 p.m.

The Essex 73's tied the Lakeshore Canadiens 2-2 after no scoring in overtime.

Michael Ruttinger and Josh Pope-Ferguson both scored for Essex.

Tycen Chittle and Matt Smith scored the two goals for Lakeshore.

The 73's are in Essex on Tuesday to take on the Blenheim Blades at 7 p.m. And then on Wednesday, the Canadiens are on the road to face the Wallaceburg Lakers at 7:30 p.m.
