Maroons doubled up at home by Waterloo

The Chatham Maroons have now lost three of their last four games.

The team hosted the Waterloo Siskins on Thursday, losing 6-3.

Avery Hammar opened the scoring for Waterloo in the first period.

The Maroons would tie the game before the first intermission, after Dylan Richter found the back of the net with his 4th goal of the season. Boris Genov had the only assist.

Carter Chadwick gave the Maroons the lead early in the second period with his 4th goal. His tally came unassisted.

Waterloo would end the period with a two-goal lead after David Bodzai, Drake Neal, and Liam King each scored.

Hammar added a second goal in the third period, before Jaxon Priddle scored his 5th of the season for the Maroons. Trevor Zanutto and Ewan McChesney each earned a point with the assists on Priddle's goal.

Capping the scoring for Waterloo was Matthew Mirda with an empty-netter.

Viljami Kukkola gave up four goals on 25 shots for the Maroons before being pulled for Samuel DiBlasi.

The Maroons are back in action on Sunday at home against the Stratford Warriors. Puck drop at the Chatham Memorial Arena is set for 7 p.m.
