Cereal Production At Kellogg's Ends Today

Wednesday marks another milestone for Kellogg's as the London plant winds down toward permanent closure just before Christmas.

Bob Martin, president of BCTGM Local 154G that represents Kellogg's employees, says it's a very sad time as the last cereal is put through the plant today. Martin says they'll predicts they'll package the last box of Frosted Flakes sometime on Friday.

Martin says it's hard for workers who have been with Kellogg's a long time to see the plant come to an end.

Once all of the cereal has left the plant, remaining 150 or so employees will clean it and prepare to close it up for good on December 23.
