OPP Ask For Caution As Ditched Cars Are Cleared

Middlesex OPP are asking drivers to watch for emergency vehicles today as they remove vehicles still in ditches after Wednesday's snowstorm.

Constable Laurie Houghton tells Blackburn News they were able to clear everyone from Hwy. 402 because it was kept closed all day, but Hwy. 401 is still dotted with ditched vehicles.

When passing emergency vehicles the law requires drivers to slow down and move over, if it's safe to do so. Constable Houghton adds she's been at the side of the highway when people don't reduce their speed and whiz past, and it's a frightening feeling.
