High school students in Strathroy are being sent home today due to the smell of gas in the schools.
Strathroy District Collegiate Institute and Holy Cross Catholic School, which share building space, are both closed.
Students were taken to the Gemini Sportsplex this morning after a staff member reported the smell of gas. Union Gas workers have been called in to investigate.
As of noon, most students had been picked up. Buses will be provided at the end of the day to take the remaining students home from the sportsplex.
It is expected the schools will be open tomorrow.
