Winter may be over but motorists throughout the region could still be in for some tricky driving conditions on Wednesday morning.
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning. It is expected the freezing rain will move into the area for the morning commute, and that it might last for several hours in some areas.
A developing low pressure area from Colorado is forecast to track across the Central Great Lakes and arrive as freezing rain as it spreads northeastwards through the morning. With an overnight low of -2C, driving conditions could become hazardous and some areas might even get 2-5 mm of ice accumulation.
