Six people are homeless after a fire in a home on St. Andrew St. Thursday morning.
Fire officials say it could have been a lot worse because there were no working smoke detectors on the second floor, where the fire started.
Crews were called out to the house at 15 St. Andrew St. at around 5:30am to find flames and thick smoke already coming out of a second story window.
The six people who live there were already outside and firefighters contained the blaze to the second floor and the attic.
Investigators are looking for the cause. Damage is estimated at $120,000.
