Report Shows London Police Budget 'Realistic'

An era of change in London today.

It's Police Chief Brad Duncan's last day at headquarters as he retires after more than 35 years of policing. There's an open house there this afternoon from 1-4pm so well-wishers can say thanks and goodbye.

Deputy Chief John Pare takes over, officially, next week.

Chief Duncan's comments about his career and his time as London's police chief are HERE.

As well, an audit of the police services books finds projections and spending are both realistic and comparable to other police forces in the province.

Highlights from The Price Waterhouse Coopers report include data that shows the force's financial needs are increasing at a slower rate than average. The report, presented to the city, also suggests the City of London and the London Police Service work out multi-year budgeting to cut down on the amount of work involved for staff.
