A woman is nursing injuries to her arm and face after she was attacked by a coyote in a London park.
London police say it happened Friday morning around 8:30am.
The woman was walking with a man on a paved path in South Branch Park between Adelaide St. and Egerton St., when a coyote jumped her from behind. She tried to protect herself, but was unable to prevent the attack.
The man managed to pull the coyote off her and she was taken to hospital, where she was treated and released.
Police are reminding people who use the trails in that area to be cautious and mindful of the fact that there are coyotes living in the area.
They also recommend not walking the trails alone.
Anyone with any information about suspicious or agressive looking animals is asked to call Animal Control or the London Police Service.
