Habitat For Humanity in the London area is getting more tools and vehicles, thanks to a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
London North Centre MPP and Deputy Premier Deb Matthews was on hand for Wednesday's announcement of a grant that will allow Habitat For Humanity Heartland Ontario to purchase two vans, a pick-up truck, a trailer, and a full set of construction tools.
“We are so thrilled to once again benefit from a Ontario Trillium Foundation grant,” says Jeff Duncan, CEO Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario. “These trucks, equipment and tools will allow us to serve more families in Oxford, Middlesex, Elgin and Perth counties, by giving us the ability to be fully equipped to safely operate multiple home builds at the same time. This is a great benefit to our volunteers and build teams across the region.”
The grant announced Wednesday totals $87,000.
