MADD London Elects New President

The London chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving has elected Mary Rodrigues as its new president.

Rodrigues was chosen by a unanimous vote at the annual general meeting on Wednesday. Rodrigues lost her four-month-old son, Alex, to an impaired driving crash in 2008. She has been a speaker and advocate for MADD’s mission in both London and Woodstock and joined the London Board of Directors in 2014.

Mary Rodrigues replaces outgoing president and London Police Constable Emmett Murchland. Constable Murchland is joining the OPP.
