Another Playground Torched

For the third time this summer, playground equipment has been burned in London.

London police are investigating after the playground equipment at Jesse Davidson Park on Viscount Rd. was torched early Wednesday morning.

Fire crews were called to the park around 4am and doused the flames.

On July 12, playground equipment in the green space behind Arthur Ford Public School was destroyed when it was set alight by vandals. Police are still investigating that arson.

On July 31, a smaller fire caused about $1,000 in damage to the playground equipment at St. Jude Catholic School on Viscount Rd. A rope climber and a slide were damaged.

Police are now looking at the possibility that the three incidents are related.

They have also released pictures of items found at the scene of the Jesse Davidson Park fire in hopes they might lead to a suspect or suspects.

Anyone with any information about either the Jesse Davidson Park fire, or the incidents in July is asked to call London police or Crime Stoppers.
