After two weeks on the run, a London man who tricked authorities at the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre into releasing him is back in custody.
London police say Justin Kunz, 19, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at a home on Centre St. He will appear in court on Thursday.
On July 22, he managed to escape the jail on Exeter Rd. by altering his appearance to look like his cellmate, who was about to be released. It’s alleged he threatened the cellmate in order to keep him quiet when a corrections officer came to retrieve him.
Kunz was in custody at EMDC after being arrested in November 2014 in a guns and drugs raid at a home on Ernest Ave.
