As the demand for seats at Toronto Blue Jays games rises police are warning of a spike in fake ticket sales.
Toronto police say they have had a number of complaints from people who have bought fraudulent tickets for different events, mainly Toronto Blue Jays home games.
Investigators say the tickets appear to be real and are very difficult to detect until you reach the front gates of the Rogers Centre.
They are telling fans to always buy tickets from an accredited source or someone trustworthy.
The possession and/or use of fake tickets can result in fines or criminal charges.
If you have been a victim of a scam such as this or have information about the sale of fake Toronto Blue Jays tickets you are asked to contact Toronto police or CrimeStoppers.
