Intoxicated Man Floods Apartment Building With Fire Hose

A London man is facing charges after allegedly getting drunk and flooding an apartment building stairwell with a fire hose.

The London Police Service says on Sunday around 1:20am, police and firefighters were called to the building at 330 Ridout St. N to response to an alarm that indicated a fire hose had been activated.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a large amount of water running down the stairwell and an intoxicated man was found with the fire hose.

Damage to the building has been estimated at around $500,000.

Jordan Bucht, 20, of London has now been charged with mischief over $5,000 and being intoxicated in a common area.
