Attempted Abduction In Norfolk County

The OPP is searching for two men after a female was nearly abducted on Hwy. 3 in Norfolk County.

The attempted abduction happened Sunday at around 4pm.

Police say a woman was walking on Hwy. 3 when a white van pulled up and two men asked if she needed a ride. When she refused, the men tried pulling her in the van.

That's when police say a citizen pulled up and helped the woman. The two men fled eastbound on Hwy. 3 and the good Samaritan left before police arrived.

Police described the suspect vehicle as:

  • White cube or cargo style van with no decals, no business name or stickers with silver rims
  • Front grill was black with a bit of rust
  • Black plastic bug deflector
  • The windshield was cracked from top corner on passenger side
  • The rear doors (x2) open outwards with small tinted windows
  • The passenger side rusted all along bottom edges and around wheel wells
  • The sliding door on passenger side had a large tinted window
  • The van had dark coloured interior possibly black. no decals, no business name or stickers
  • The van was very dusty and had a noisy exhaust system
The first suspect, a passenger, is described as:
  • Black male 6 feet tall approximately 200 lbs with a heavy build approximately mid-thirties too early forty’s.
  • Scruffy, unshaven with acne scars on his forehead.
  • The suspect had shoulder length black hair in dreadlock style pulled back into a pony tail.
  • The male was wearing a dirty beige t-shirt, jean style shorts to his knees with large pockets and black running shoes
The suspect driver is described as a black male, in his mid-30s with dark short hair wearing a red t-shirt.
