Manslaughter Charge Laid In Year Old Case

A 24-year-old London man is now facing a manslaughter charge in connection to the death of another man last May.

Police were called to a a York St. address around midnight on May 21, 2014.

A man, 39-year-old Timothy Deleary, was found in medical distress and taken to the London Health Sciences Centre where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy revealed Deleary, a father of four, died from a head injury. Investigators say he had been assaulted before his death.

The decision to lay the manslaughter was made following an extensive investigation and consultation with the police, coroner, forensic pathologists, and the Crown.

Robby Diabo was arrested Wednesday and has been released from custody. He will appear in a London court on November 10.
