Environment Canada has upgraded a snow squall watch to a warning for London and surrounding areas.
The weather agency says snow squalls are expected to develop late tonight and could continue through tomorrow. Local snowfall accumulations could reach 15 cm by Saturday afternoon, while those living closer to Lake Huron could see less accumulation due to the relatively warm water.
A second special weather statement from Environment Canada says we could see lake effect flurries on Friday night and into Saturday.
The weather agency says colder temperatures will see rain showers turn to flurries on Friday evening.
Environment Canada says the lake effect flurries should slowly wind down on Sunday.
