Police Looking For Assault Suspect

London police are hoping the public can help them identify a man who allegedly assaulted another man who tried to stop a fight involving the suspect and a woman.

Police say on Wednesday, October 14 around 9:30pm, officers were called to the area of Dundas St. and Clarence St. after getting a report of a argument involving a man and a woman.

Investigators were told another man tried to intervene out of concern for the woman. Police say the suspect assaulted the man and damaged his friend's vehicle.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, 35-40 years of age, approximately 5'9"-6', heavy set with short brown hair. He was wearing a white pinstripe dress shirt and dark pants.

Police say the suspect and the woman he was with were last seen heading north on Richmond St. in a newer, white Ford Explorer.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
